At Clements Gate. Clements Gate > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5599230 is a new housing development by David Wilson Homes, described as an exclusive range of three, four and five-bedroom homes with unique architectural details and distinctive exteriors. This road is named after Trooper John Matthew Arthur Neale, who served with the Royal Armoured Corps, 11th Royal Tank Regiment. Born in Yorkshire he lived in Poringland, where he worked as a police constable. Trooper Neale was killed in action on 19 February 1945 while driving a tracked landing vehicle, supporting a Canadian Division on Operation 'Veritable'. He is buried in the British War Cemetery at Rheinberg, Germany, and is commemorated on the Poringland war memorial.
