Built in 2007, the Community Centre is owned and run by the Poringland Parish Council. The building cost £1 million with a quarter of the funding having been secured from the adjacent Norfolk Homes housing development. Part of the building is leased to Norfolk Police. Poringland Library is situated next door. The hall is a modern, flexible space of over 50 square foot. The main hall can be partitioned into up to four independent 'quads' meaning that up to four activities can run concurrently at any given time. There is a large communal bistro area at the rear which transforms into the Community Café, adjacent to the spacious commercial kitchen and a well stocked bar for social occasions. The Centre is equipped with state-of-the art AV equipment and free WiFi is available throughout.
