Bracondale Court was constructed in 1937 on the site of Hill House which had been bought and subsequently demolished by an Indian architect, Mr Wadhwa. These were the first purpose-built flats in the city and are architecturally typical of their time. The scheme comprises a group of two-storey blocks containing the flats. The buildings have white rendered walls, and originally had green glazed pantile roofs (some remain) with black Crittal-framed windows and doors. The entrances are surrounded by stepped reveals. An exact copy of the scheme is believed to have been built somewhere in north London.
