Rufford Cricket Club

As the notice board proudly proclaims, Rufford Cricket Club can trace its origins back to 1883 when a report appeared in the Ormskirk Advertiser describing a home game against Preston Park Cricket Club. In the early days matches were played in the grounds of Rufford New Hall, later moving to Rufford Recreation Ground. The club acquired this facility on Cousins Lane in 1952. Unsurprisingly, for late October, no 'next match' is advertised.
