This 7m diameter model of the moon is internally illuminated. It was created by Luke Jerram, and is currently touring the country. Its visit to Lancaster coincides with the Light Up Lancaster event. The scale is approximately 1:500000. The view shown here is the near side, close to the view seen from earth.
