Matthew Parker was a 16th-century Rector of Landbeach, but is better known as a Master of Corpus Christi College Cambridge and the Archbishop of Canterbury who commissioned the Bishops' Bible and had the principal hand in drawing up the Book of Common Prayer. His exceptional manuscript collection is housed in Corpus Christi's Parker Library.
