In October 2019 the name above the shuttered entrance is THE TIVOLI VENUE - LIVE MUSIC & EVENTS VENUE. Cadw records that the building was erected in the 1920s, possibly as a miners' institute for use as a cinema/theatre and hall. Converted to a club in the late 20th century. Grade II Listed for its special interest as a rare surviving example of an interwar cinema or miners' institute of distinctive design.
