The Band Pavilion dates from 1907 when Warrenpoint was one of Ireland's most popular holiday resort. Having been allowed to decline the park and pavilion were eventually refurbished by the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council District Council at a cost of £1 million pounds in 2018. A grant of £850k towards the work was made by the Heritage Lottery Fund. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-45373244
