The Drill Hall entrance gate is actually on Bellevue Road, close to its Northern junction with Zig Zag Road. The lower red brick section of the building closest in the picture was originally stables, each stall indicated by a single window. The large main door in the white painted section was to allow horse and wagon to enter. The Drill Hall was subsequently used for boat building. Internally the building in general is still recognisable as a drill hall.
