Set amongst newer houses on the main road out of the village, The Elms dates from the 18th century, and was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101352660-the-elms-meriden#.XaNbHuhKjIU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1352660 in 1976.
