The industrial-scale temporary 'box' encloses Hill House to protect it from direct impact of rainfall while allowing the air to circulate, and was built in 2019. Cement render applied when the house was completed in 1904 has trapped water in the walls, unlike the traditional lime roughcast that can breathe. While the house is drying out, long-term remedies will be investigated. The view here is from Kennedy Drive.
