I was just about to enter this hotel and hostelry to partake of its many offerings and I am very glad I did, as it is a superb country pub and eatery. It looks very enticing on an autumn evening, with the temperature dropping and the dark falling fast. I scooched in and enjoyed a pint in the bar and gun room (a side room off the main bar) before a tasty repast, a seasonal dish of calves liver, bacon, creamy mash and veg. Hard to beat.
