Hoppers is a grade II listed building, the old house out of sight beyond the entrance Great War memorial building is the main reason for this. This was converted from a beer house (Rose and Crown) to a seasonal hospital for hoppers from 1910 to 1953. Now used as a retreat and group meeting place.
