Darkness returns after a brief sunny gap. This is just a dull day, but the system causing it was a Category 5 hurricane a few days ago. Before extratropical transition, Lorenzo caused a bit of bother in the Azores, Flores lost its port facilities and there was flooding on Faial and Pico. The houses here are part of the massive postwar expansion of Edinburgh beyond Corstorphine Hill. They feature on 1968 mapping but not 1956 maps.
