The path and river pass under Haymarket West Junction on the main route westwards out of Edinburgh. Murrayfield Stadium is beyond the tracks. The Caledonian Railway to Princes Street Station left what is now the line through Haymarket to Waverley here. It is now a road. The lines above the river in 1948: Image
