The two birds remained unusually patient for us while we took pictures. A nice shot to show the size relationship of two of the UK's largest wading birds. The light has caught the distinctive features of the Godwit – upturned bill, browner back - allowing it to be positively identified as Bar- rather than Black-Tailed.
