Pevsner says "On the N side is the much praised COMET BUILDING, 1981-2 by Elsworth Sykes, five floors of red brick, with two more floors accommodated in the glazed mansard roof. The ground floor projects with recessed windows divided by tall brick piers. The upper floors have rows of eleven windows, with a projecting bay second from the l."
