The Made in Cley craft shop, and the (really rather good) Cley Smokehouse occupy what was previously known as Starr House and Commerce House; the house to the left is 17th century, whilst the shop premises in the centre and the smokehouse are more like 18th century. Collectively, they were Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101172486-starr-house-cley-next-the-sea#.XY-gpEZKjcs & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1172486 in 1975.
