Bicentenary Celtic Cross in Colquhoun Square

This is one of two similar (but not identical) crosses sited in Colquhoun Square. The other one (Image]) was erected in 1903 to mark the centenary of the Burgh of Helensburgh. This one, on the eastern side of the square, was erected 100 years later to mark the bicentenary. It is inscribed: Celebrating 200 years of the Burgh Charter 1802 - 2002 First Provost of Helensburgh Henry Bell 1807-1809
