This Victorian factory was built in about 1865 for Robert Stroud, a manufacturer of tin trunks, tinware and japanned goods. The building has been "listed" since 2004, so maybe grant funded maintenance on the frontage, and structure behind can be expected soon. At present some small operators work from the premises. 2017: https://www.expressandstar.com/news/2017/07/08/historic-niphon-works-to-become-apartments/ Update November 2010. This building is in a mess. An application to convert to flats must be granted very soon in order for the frontage to be saved and integrated into the new design.
