Roman soldiers march to Arbeia

Arbeia being the old Roman fort at South Shields near the end of the Great North Run - half marathon of 13.1 miles. It was very warm in those costumes and the metal was already digging into flesh when I saw them a third of the way along the course. They finished in 3 hours 16 minutes.
