A welcome sight on Aylsham Town Square: the long-closed and sadly neglected building that once housed Clarke's DIY and building materials store is now being renovated. The plans are for a restaurant on the ground floor and holiday accommodation on the upper floors. So far, as can be seen, two chimney stacks and parts of the façade have been rebuilt. Complex roof sections are being reconstructed in September 2019.
