The business of Adams-Hydraulics of York and London was established in the 1880s, specialising in the design and construction of apparatus used in connection with sewerage and sewage disposal works. In 1913, the company supervised installations at 150 sewage works in Britain; some of their machinery was installed at 350 other schemes (Source: Graces Guide). In 2010 they merged with Ham-Baker Flow Control to form Ham Baker Adams Ltd.
