The Bellmuir area contains the remains of a settlement and field systems from the late Iron Age or early Bronze Age. Sites are found around Methlick Quarry. This view shows the remains of furrows and ridges which are identified by the long strips of heather. The system compares with those from other parts of Scotland, for example, Image
