The entrance to the station would have been where there is now a gateway into Park View Academy secondary school. The railway went under the road on a line between the photographer and the school sign. It closed in the mid 1960's so the large plane trees to the right of the shot are a mere fifty years old or so yet already dominate. The 41 bus comes by in pairs, the train would always have been a rarity.
