These four Regency terrace houses on London Road were formerly known as Oxford Buildings and were recorded as being here in 1820. In November 1826, writer Sir Walter Scott stayed here for two days. He stayed with his sister-in-law while taking the waters. The houses are Grade II listed, see:https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1104393
