Salthouse Hall is a private residence, and generally hides away from public view behind high walls, although this part of the main house is just about visible from the gateway. The older parts of the house date from the first part of the 17th century, possibly earlier, and were Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101049798-salthouse-hall-salthouse#.XWYfEOhKhPY & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1049798 in 1952.
