A visitor from the Middleton Railway in Leeds, 0-6-0 saddle tank Brookes No. 1 is at the front of a two-coach train on the heritage Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway on Sunday August 25th 2019. The locomotive was built by the Hunslet Engine Company in 1941 for use by Brookes Limited at the Lightscliffe Works in Halifax. Brookes Limited was a quarrying company established in 1840.
