The building was designed by the architect H Munro Cautley and built from Portland stone in 1927/28, with the addition of the doorway on Davey Place dating from the early 1930s. The decoration of the building is a tribute to Skipper's earlier London and Provincial Bank of 1907 > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5861097 situated in London Street.
