Farmtrack to Nant y Melyn farm. An interesting puzzle for students of Welsh place names: about one mile to the west is a stream called ‘Nant Melyn’ (‘Yellow Stream’). The OS map shows the name of the farm as ‘Nantmelyn’. But the sign at the farm entrance says ‘Nant-y-Melyn’ which actually means ‘Stream of the Yellow’. This might be due to a confusion with Nant y Felin - i.e. confusing ‘melyn’ - yellow with ‘melin’ - mill.
