The bus shelter is full of village notices and acts as the newspaper distribution point, whilst along the back wall is a historic plan of the village as it was in 1911, see Image But the bus service is sparse in the extreme - one bus a week to Appleby-in-Westmorland on a Friday. But there are also two on-demand rural wheels service operators.
