Birmingham Canal Old Main Line

Seen from the bridge over one end of the Oozells Street Loop. The maps refer to this part of the canal in view as the Old Main Line but it is fact a new cut while the loops represent the former line but were left connected to provide access to businesses. The scaffolded building is Roundhouse, Birmingham - former stables for the canal horses in the form of a horseshoe. The building to its right is The Distillery, which is a public house with a gin distillery within it. The pub provides a handy short cut from the canal to Sheepcote street one floor higher - I did buy a pint while using it a shortcut.
