The Grade I listed https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1026616 building on West Street was built in 1696 for John and Hannah Edes. It is an early example of a brick house in Chichester and is now used by West Sussex County Council as a wedding and events venue https://www.westsussex.gov.uk/leisure-recreation-and-community/events-activities-and-community-venues/edes-house/
