This is believed to be the only genuine steam monorail locomotive to survive, albeit modern and out of use for quite a few years. It was built by Century Millwrights of Hampton-on-Thames in 1998 as Works 11003. It drives by two wheels on the top of the rail and is kept upright by guide wheels bearing on the sides of the lower section of the rail (two seen bottom centre). It is hoped to get this back in steam but it is likely to require a full boiler re-tube first.
