Narrow Gauge Railway Society visit to the Tanat Valley Light Railway Nantmawr Visitor Centre. These are amazing. In the foreground one was burbling away waiting for its next driver while in the left background an intrepid driver is heading round the somewhat rough and ready track. Driving couldn't be easier - one lever moves up and down for forward or reverse and a quick tug on another lever brings it to a rapid stop. The one in the foreground has belt and chain transmission but the big yellow beast has hydraulic transmission. This is quite the quirkiest thing I have seen for a while.
