This view shows part of the bank which surrounded this Iron Age hillfort. The fort appears to be surrounded by a single ditch and bank which suggests that it was used less for defensive purposes than for corralling animals. This is supported by the designation of the area on old maps as "Cold Harbour", a name often associated with the presence of a Roman road (which there indeed is), but which in this case might suggest winter quarters for stock.
