There seems to be some dispute about which is the tallest tree in Britain. The NT has a contender at Cragside in Northumberland, and there are others near Dunkeld, Blair Castle and in Argyll, but it appears that one in Reelig Glen must be the champion. For several years the title was awarded to a Douglas Fir 'Dughall Mor' in the glen, but now it appears that one of its neighbours holds the title - another Douglas Fir at 66.4m which is a little over 217ft. It could be one of these in the photo.
