The title of this sculpture, in Gordon Street, of a woman standing on a chair atop a flagpole, is “The Calling 2003”. The sculptor is Paddy McCann. It is said to represent a theme of communication between people and their environment. The fact that it is outside a bank suggests that it was inspired by a woman who had just met the manager on a bad day. See also Image
