Set outside Barrack House in Southampton is this stone which is about 9 inches high. The top brass reads "Height above datum". The side plate reads "Ordnance Survey". The modern plate below reads "This monument forms part of the Ordnance Survey National GPS Network. It is an offence to damage it. If found damaged please ring our helpline on 08456 05 05 05.
