Seen from the path is High Park Farmhouse on the right and High Park Cottages on the left. Both are listed and there are closer views at Image and Image Both buildings are the property of the National Trust, a gift of Beatrix Potter. The path roughly follows the course of the River Brathay upstream. This section of the path is part of the long distance Cumbria Way which runs 70 miles (112 km) from Carlisle to Ulverston.
