This wooden bench is located by the River Ver on the Abbey Line Trail between Colney Street and Frogmore https://www.walkingenglishman.com/ldp/abbeylinetrail.html refers. It is carved with a map of the River Ver which runs for 20km (12½ miles) from Kensworth in the west to Bricket Wood in the east with Markyate, Flamstead, Redbourn, St Albans and Park Street being mentioned as places the river flows through. Also carved are two great crested grebes, a perch and an angler with his fishing line. Finally, the red circle on the river indicates where this wooden bench is situated.
