Taken from Preston Drove and looking across Preston Vicarage Lawns, a small green between road and church once occupied by the old village vicarage and now home to a couple of bowling greens belonging to Brighton Bowling Club. St Johns itself was constructed in 1902 to serve the rapidly expanding suburbs of Brighton.
