The bend in the lane from which this was taken curves around the southern of the two Ugworthy Barrows, which unfortunately cannot be seen from the road, at least not in high summer, but is hidden behind the trees on the left. According to https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1017978 , it "survives well ... as a circular mound which measures 35.8m in diameter and is 2.5m high". The parish boundary between Holsworthy Hamlets and Pyworthy takes a little curve to include the barrow in the former parish, and then heads down the right side of the lane ahead, to Rhude Cross; Pyworthy parish is on the left.
