Quite the common behaviour among young cattle: to spot a stranger (and an intrusive Geograph-er at that) and firstly be transfixed, then to crowd the invader in case they may have food of some sort. There then follows a strange game of Follow-my-Leader, occasionally halted by the leader's sudden halt. Then the insatiably inquisitive bovines move in again. Once vaulted, the gate becomes a sharp disappointment as the gang are held at bay. A field of possibly forty or fifty head all seem to squeeze in as tightly as possible.
