Henry Lynn spent most of his working life on boats on the River Leven and Loch Lomond. From the mid 1850's he worked on a steam launch that towed barges and scows on the Leven and Loch. In the 1880's he set up in business as a boat hirer, taking passengers for a trip on his steam launch. TO THE MEMORY OF HENRY LYNN ERECTED BY HIS FRIENDS IN THE COUNTY TO COMMEMORATE HIS LONG ASSOCIATION WITH LOCH LOMOND THEN FAREWELL MY TRIM BUILT WHERRY
