Cadw records that number 6 High Street Caerleon probably dates from the late 18th century, but it could be earlier. It was remodelled and had a wing added to the right in the mid 19th century. The house has been little altered since. The building was the New Inn for an unknown period. Grade II listed as a late 18th century house retaining significant historic character and having strong group value with the surrounding historic buildings in the centre of Caerleon.
