The Farriers Arms in Lower Dagnall Street, seen from Queen Street. Built in the 19th Century and housing a corner shop, it became a pub in the 1920s. Now a free house, having been operated by Hertford brewers McMullens until 2013, it hosted the first ever meeting of CAMRA, the campaign for Real Ale, on 20 November 1972. The building is locally listed.
