The Catalpa Tree by the walls of Rochester Castle is over 150 years old. In 2015 it split and a lot of conservation work was done to save it. The following https://www.alpharail.co.uk/2016/03/metal-railings-protect-famous-catalpa-tree-in-rochester/ is from the company that made the new railings round the site. It has more on the story, and some extra pictures.
