A ScotRail Class 156 DMU stands at Carstairs Railway Station working a service from Edinburgh to Glasgow via Carstairs and Motherwell. A ScotRail Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) is a rare sight at Carstairs especially after May 2018 as this particular service is now operated by a brand new Class 385 EMU.
