Gatehouse to St Mary's Convent, it was built in 1893 for Alfred Percy Allsopp, by architect John Henry Williams The Convent was the home of the Sisters of St Marie Madeleine Postel, a Roman Catholic Teaching Order, in 1933. St Mary’s was an independent nursery and school until its closure in 2014.
